Hearing assessment in progress at Prairie Hearing Centre

60 min

One unhurried visit.
Everything included.

Full diagnostic evaluation

Sound booth testing across all speech frequencies, far more detailed than a pass/fail screener. We also test how well you understand conversation in background noise, the real-world situation that trips people up most.

Hearing history chat

We learn about your life, your listening challenges, and what brought you in.

Ear health check

A visual exam to rule out wax buildup or anything physical that could be affecting your hearing.

Results in plain language

Your hearing specialist walks you through every result. No jargon. No confusing charts.

Honest next steps

If your hearing is fine, we'll celebrate that. If not, we'll explain your options, no pressure, ever.

Family-Owned on Corydon

We're not a chain.
We're your neighbours.

Prairie Hearing is owned and run by Kyle and Sara McCombs , a Winnipeg family with a personal connection to hearing loss. We opened our centre on Corydon Avenue because we believe hearing care should feel like visiting family, not a faceless franchise.

We're proudly independent. That means we don't answer to a hearing aid manufacturer, we answer to you. Every recommendation is based on what's right for your ears, your life, and your budget.

I'd been putting off getting my hearing checked for years. From the moment I walked in, Kyle and Sara made me feel at ease. The test was thorough, the explanation was clear, and there was absolutely no pressure. I only wish I'd come sooner.

Robert M., Winnipeg

The whole experience felt personal. They remembered my name, asked about my grandkids. Not what I expected from a hearing centre.

Margaret T., River Heights

Kyle explained everything so clearly. I walked out actually understanding my hearing for the first time. And it was free!
